The 4 Sessions Are 

Session 1: 
What is dyslexia and the co-occurring conditions . 
 
Session 2: 
How do we identify dyslexia and the types of commercial screeners available. 
 
Session 3: 
The Equality Act and Reasonable Adjustments 
 
Session 4: 
Putting together your work place needs assessment. 
Normally the 4 sessions take place over 2 days. 
 
The sessions are supplemented by recordings, detailed handouts and support from the Tutor. The tutor is an experienced diagnostic and needs assessor and has been a trainer for the BDA. 
 
The cost of the course is £250 per live training day and £595 ( plus vat ) for the OCN registration and marking of the workbook. In September there may be a small increase. Registration is not mandatory but suggested as good practice for the professional. All prices exclude VAT. Some courses are shorter than others and some may take place in the evenings so that we can address a wide range of participants needs. There may be an adjustment in the price for those courses . If you would like general awareness training consider just doing the first session or booking us separately. 
 
We will send a booking form and Brief Guide and Introduction to the course if you Contact Us. APEL given for L7 holders with experience in assessing adults. This is applied for and granted by the Course Director. There is a workbook and needs assessment based on a case study to complete . Reasonable adjustments will be given if needed. 
 
Now accredited by OCN London, PASSHE and the BDA ( AWNA status). Cost of BDA Accreditation is only £25 and needs to be renewed every 3 years. More detail son the BDA website www.bdadyslexia.org.uk.

Katrina Cochrane is the Director of Positive Dyslexia Ltd and previously the Director of Edcuation for the BDA. She has written and presented many accredited courses from L2 to L7.She is an experienced specialist teacher and assessor.
