Refund Policy

This policy explains when we refund payments for assessments, training courses, recordings, event tickets and certificates bought from Positive Dyslexia Ltd. It does not affect your statutory rights as a consumer.

Diagnostic assessments and screeners

A deposit secures your assessment date. The balance is due at the appointment or in advance, and we release the report once payment has been made in full.

  • If you cancel or ask to move your appointment with at least 7 working days’ notice, we will move you to another date or refund your deposit.
  • If you cancel with less than 7 working days’ notice, or do not attend, the deposit is not refundable. We cannot guarantee a new date and may charge for the missed appointment.
  • If we have to cancel, we will offer you a new date or a full refund of anything you have paid.
  • Once an assessment has taken place, the fee is not refundable, because the service has been provided.

Training courses

  • If you cancel at least 14 days before the course start date, we will refund your fee in full or move you to a later cohort.
  • If you cancel less than 14 days before the start date, we can offer a place on a later cohort but cannot refund the fee, as places are limited and materials will have been prepared.
  • Once a course has started, fees are not refundable. Recordings of missed sessions are provided where available.
  • OCN London registration fees are paid to the awarding body on your behalf and cannot be refunded once you have been registered.
  • If we cancel a course, you will receive a full refund or a place on the next available date, whichever you prefer.

Recordings and downloadable CPD

Recordings are digital content. When you buy one, you agree that we will send you the viewing link straight away and that you give up your 14-day right to cancel once you access it.

  • If you have not opened the viewing link, you can cancel within 14 days of purchase for a full refund.
  • Once the link has been opened, the purchase is not refundable.
  • If a recording is faulty or will not play, email us and we will fix the link or refund you.
  • Free recordings are not eligible for refunds.

Conference and event tickets

Tickets for events on a fixed date are not covered by the 14-day cancellation right. Tickets are non-refundable, but you can transfer your ticket to a colleague if you let us know before the event. Where tickets are sold through Eventbrite, Eventbrite’s refund terms also apply. If we cancel or move an event, you will be offered a full refund or a ticket for the new date.

Paper certificates

Paper certificates are printed to order and are not refundable once posted. If a certificate arrives damaged or with an error that is ours, we will reprint it free of charge.

How to request a refund

Email info@positivedyslexia.co.uk with your name, order number or booking date, and the reason for your request. We reply within 24 hours on working days. Approved refunds are returned to the original payment method within 14 days.

Schools and organisations

Where we have invoiced a school or organisation directly, the cancellation terms in the booking form or quotation apply. If none were agreed, this policy applies.
